Dogman Training and Certification
Approximately four times per year we run a Mobile Crane dogging assessment program for our clients and other interested parties. The main purpose of this course is to train our clients employees to save money spent on dogman hire. Often we train people who require a realistic grounding in general Crane hire dogging practices for employment. The training provided differs from the norm because it is actually undertaken in a real crane yard with modern mobile cranes that work every day in the construction industry. You will be working with the same types and classes of machine that you will encounter in the real world. People undertaking this course have access to both crane crew and management during the course and we feel that this procedure is better than a "school" that makes its sole income from writing tickets.
The equipment you train with does makes a difference. Why train with cranes that will never appear on your jobs ?
People undertaking the training must surely have a better chance at employment if they have a reference from an actual mobile crane company and can demonstrate experience with modern mobile cranes as opposed to some old rough terrain that has not left the school grounds in the last ten years and never will again.
Clients can save considerable money by having their own dogman and sending an employee on this course can pay for itself in ONE DAY. Frequent consumers of crane hire can save many many thousands a year by just having one dogman in their crew. By saving one minimum dogman hire a week you'll be more than $16000.00 PA better off.
The course runs for three full days and is normally held on a consecutive Saturday, Sunday and RDO combined.
On completion of the course all you need to do is send your paperwork and fees off to Work Cover and your away.

Brendan runs a very comprehensive course which produces dogmen competent enough to start work immediately. The course is not a "pay your coin get your ticket" affair. All aspects of dogging are covered in depth with comprehensive notes sent to all attendees prior to the course which must be read fully.
